THE PRODUCTION CHAIN
The production process is the pride and joy of the Caglioni foundry, which over more than a century has specialised in the production of raw castings in sand from non-ferrous metal alloys of bronze and aluminium.
All stages of the process are constantly monitored to ensure that every order is processed successfully.
The company is equipped with:
the WMS (Warehouse Management System) pattern warehouse uses AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) systems, such as barcodes, mobile terminals with modules for barcode reading;
raw materials warehouse with identification card system;
dedicated to the chemical analyses;
supported by SAP Business One, an integrated management system that allows complete traceability of production and quality controls to provide timely information on performance and corrective measures to be taken to optimize processes.
From the project supplied by the customer to delivery, the Caglioni foundry undertakes to respect and exceed all standards of efficiency and process optimisation.
To meet the needs of its customers and widen the third party production to the multifarious sectors, the Caglioni foundry is equipped with:
For its production, the Caglioni foundry makes exclusive use of ingots/plates from leading suppliers in the territory. In particular, aluminium bronze parts are produced with primary materials such as copper, nickel and iron, which do not derive from scrap melting, while manganese brass parts are made with first-rate noble scrap.
All raw materials are catalogued, stored and managed by means of an identification system based on identification cards (bar code).
